Evening Gown (1/3) - Required

Wear a long evening gown of your choice.  For ages 4-9, the only criteria is that your gown has straps.  Hemlines should be within 1/2 inch of the floor (no one will be measuring, this is just a guideline), and trains should be manageable and not impede the contestant's walking or modeling pattern.  Walking pattern will be determined as we find out the facility setup, and we will let you know in advance of the pageant what the stage setup will be, along with entrance and exit points.  For ages 10-12, please stay away from tight gowns and high slits.  Judging criteria will be appropriateness of gown, eye contact, smile, confidence, poise, personality and overall impression.

Interview (1/3) - Required

Interviews will be panel-style and 2 minutes in length.  Contestants will enter the room and sit in a chair across from the judges' table.  Questions will start based on information in your bio/entry form and will proceed in a conversational fashion based on responses to questions and how the interview unfolds.  The interview may steer towards topics that are not necessarily on the bio/entry forms depending on responses.  This is not a test, we are looking for a natural personality and conversation.  Wear an outfit of your choice that you feel represents your fashion style.  This includes interview suits, dresses, or pantsuits.  Keep it simple so as not to be distracting from your purpose of letting the judges know the real you.  There will be no political or religious questions.  Be yourself!  Judging criteria will be based on appropriateness of outfit, eye contact, smile, confidence, verbal skills, content, natural personality, and overall impression.  Obviously, age will be taken into consideration, especially for children, as we are looking for natural, not overly coached children.

Fun Fashion (1/3) - Required

Let loose!  Wear an outfit of your choice and style, and work the stage in any pattern that you wish.  Keep the routine within 1 minute so you don't "wear out your welcome."  You might wear a pantsuit, hi-low dress, jumpsuit with skirt or cape, or high fashion runway type of outfit.  No props are allowed.  Judging criteria will be appropriateness of outfit, eye contact, smile, confidence, modeling ability, personality, and overall impression.

Introduction (Optional)

Contestants will have 30 seconds to introduce themselves on stage.  Include your name, hometown, and something interesting about yourself.  Wear a business suit, church dress or pantsuit (most people wear their interview outfit).  Judging will be based on eye contact, confidence, speaking skills, appropriateness of outfit, content, naturalness, and overall impression.

Freeze Model (Optional)

This is one of the most fun, unique categories in the pageant!  Wear any outfit of your choice ... casual, glitzy, pants, dresses, etc.  You will enter the stage and begin performing a freestyle modeling routine (no required walking pattern).  At some point, the emcee will say, "FREEZE!" and you should immediately freeze into a pose of your choice.  Do not move until the emcee says, "and go."  Continue modeling until the emcee next says FREEZE!" and again freeze into a second pose of your choice.  Have 3 freeze poses in your mind because the emcee will have you free either 2 or 3 times during your routine.  When finished, exit off the stage but STAY at the side of the stage until your division is done.  All contestants in the division will then return to the stage and pose in one of their freeze poses while the judges take a last look and the photographer gets a photo of everyone in their poses.  The emcee will then dismiss the entire division and you can go change into your next outfit.  Outfits should be age appropriate ... revealing outfits are not acceptable.  Judging will be based on outfit, originality, modeling ability, confidence and overall impression.

Photogenic (Optional)

Submit your best color headshot (half body is also acceptable).  We prefer natural happy photos with smiles that show personality or dramatic straight face photos.  We will provide you with a link to upload your photos by a deadline of April 1, 2026.  Glitz photos are not acceptable, but they may be slightly retouched.  Maximum photo size is 8x10.  If you submit more than one photo category picture, only the highest scoring photo will be counted.  Judging will be based on photo quality, personality, originality, and overall impression.

Print Model (Optional)

Select your very best high quality photo (typically a 3/4 or body shot) with a high drama or vogue feel.  We are looking for magazine-type photos.  Maximum photo size is 8x10.  We will provide you with a link to upload your photos by a deadline of April 1, 2026.  If you enter more than one print model category photo, only the highest scoring photo will be counted.  Judging will be based on photo quality, personality, originality, and overall impression.
